Welcome, welcome Year of the Wood Sheep.

As February approaches, the galloping, independent and somewhat tumultuous energies of the Horse ease into the contemplative, nurturing and sensitive energies of the sheep.

Energetically, we are in for a different year than 2014. This year’s mood will be marked by peace, harmony and tranquility. It is a time to appreciate our accomplishments, to think about others, and to take a calming breath to determine a steady path for our futures.

It is a time for healing, diplomacy, creativity, and beauty. With the Sheep’s energy, we have the opportunity to open our hearts, to express our creative sides, and to tap into our intuitions.

With the Wood element in Sheep, our spiritual development and artistic creativity have tremendous ability to manifest. The potential in these two areas is almost limitless.

Universally, the overall theme is peace, so there will be a more subdued approach among nations versus the saber rattling we have heard throughout 2014. Yet, there are other energies at play, particularly in the Dragon and Ox months of April 2015 and January 2016. These months will have the potential of aggression and turbulence, but overall the year will give rise to calmer heads and reasonable voices will prevail.

Personally, we will succeed by getting back to basics, using common sense, and developing sound strategy. In our social lives, we gain much happiness by going to museums, attending plays, spending time with close friends and family. It is also a time of shared intimacy. In our work, it is a good time to collaborate, join forces, and make connections. We need to place trust in goodness and have faith in our fellow man. Combining a collaborative approach with tapping into our intuitions and expressing our creative sides will bring us much success this year.

The Sheep is kind, tender and sympathetic. It is loyal, creative and elegant. It is a symbol of peace and harmony. With the energy of Sheep, we can anticipate being enveloped by calm and tranquility. Given the stresses of our daily lives and the goings-on in the world, we welcome Sheep with open arms.

Here’s to 2015.

Wishing you calm, bliss and joy,

Kim
